Physical Health Services

Struggling to lose weight? You are not alone. Obesity adversely affects your health and well-being and is difficult to manage on your own. We can help. We offer weight-management services with a comprehensive medical and behavioral treatment approach.

Comprehensive Weight-Management Program

Numerous factors often contribute to weight gain and can make it difficult to lose weight or maintain weight loss unless each factor is identified and addressed. Our providers will create a comprehensive treatment plan, involving medical and behavioral treatments, that is designed to fit your unique needs, reduce your weight, and improve your health long-term.

We don’t tell you to “just eat less and exercise more”.

We offer extensive dietary counseling, behavioral/emotional counseling, and medical testing and treatment of potential causes of and results of obesity.

Medical Treatment

At every visit you will see a medical provider trained in identifying and treating the biological/metabolic factors preventing you from losing weight who can help you decide if a prescription weight-loss medication, such as the latest GLP-1 medications, may be safe and effective for you.

Dietary Counseling

We spend nearly 60 minutes with new patients and 15-30 minutes at each follow-up visit teaching healthy dietary habits and practical ways to implement them into your life.

Behavioral/Emotional Counseling

For many, losing weight is difficult due to stress, anxiety, emotional eating, poor habits, etc. Our team of weight-loss medical providers, mental health counselors, and life coaches can help you overcome the issues that may be hindering your ability to lose weight.

Patient Cost

The weight management services that we provide are usually covered by most Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna insurance plans.

We also offer income-based discounted rates as an option if needed. All self-pay costs are due in full at time of service in the form of cash, debit card, or credit card, or HSA card.

People are so kind here. They help people however, whenever they can. They never send people away. They have references if they cannot offer services at the time. They pray with you, care for you. An outstanding group of people that just want to give back to the community. Very Jesus driven!

I'm so thankful for the direction and support I've received from Branches Weight Loss! They've helped me change my life-long views about myself, my weight, my eating habits, and health in general. They offer so much more than a scale and a measuring tape! I'm much healthier and 60 lbs lighter!

How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?

You may cancel or reschedule an appointment by clicking on the "Appointment Scheduling" link at the top of the webpage or by calling us. A fee of $50 will be automatically charged to your credit card on file if you cancel less than 24 hours prior to your appointment time or if you fail to show for your appointment without notifying us.

What if I do not have insurance and can't afford the fee for a service?

For most of our services, Branches offers financial assistance through our Reduced Fee or Scholarship Program for those who can't pay for a service. We don't want an inability to pay to stand in the way of you receiving the help you desire. Give us a call or email us for more information.

Does Branches accept TennCare or Medicaid?

Regrettably, the State of Tennessee does not permit Branches to accept clients who have TennCare or Medicaid insurance, even if the client is willing to come as a self-pay client. The state has designated providers that are pre-authorized to accept these insurances.

For clients with these insurances, we refer to: DePriest Center: (931) 486-8670; Kimara Wilson-Clarke: (931) 368-3234; Sabin Behavioral Health: (615) 656-3211; Crayton Counseling & Associates (615) 590-3741; Scott Russell (615) 977-0052

https://www.tn.gov/tenncare

These counselors we recommend may not be able to take TennCare, but are not limited to the same rules that we are here at Branches.

What happens if I forget to show up for an appointment or cancel too late?

If you don't show for an appointment or if you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment time, you will automatically be charged $50 to the credit card we have on file for you. IMPORTANT: If you are using insurance to cover your visits, your insurance company will not cover any portion of this charge, therefore, the full $50 fee will be charged directly to you regardless of your normal copay. In addition, HSA and FSA debit cards cannot cover the costs of late cancellation fees and no show fees.
